A lot of people have been taught to think about porn struggles in all-or-nothing terms. You’re either “fine,” “recovered,” or you’re an “addict.”

That kind of language doesn’t reflect the wide range of experiences people actually have, and it definitely doesn’t explain how the habit forms or why it can feel hard to change.

The words we use shape how we see ourselves, which is why I focus on describing the pattern, not defining the person.

In today’s episode, I’m breaking down why these labels often feel restrictive, why they miss so much nuance, and why you don’t need to define yourself a certain way to start changing a habit.

If you are done trying to figure this out alone and want real support in changing your habits, I’d love to help you. Come work with me and start your progress today!
